Client: National Social Marketing Centre
Project: Breast Feeding Pack for Fathers

Design of a pack to encourage and inform fathers in Brighton & Hove to be involved in the breastfeeding with their partner. To improve health and wellbeing of mother and baby. A partnership service between the National Social Marketing Centre the local PCT.

The Brief

After research it was reported that fathers between 20 - 35 felt removed and not informed enough about breastfeeding and how this can affect mother and baby. The pack needed to be engaging, accessible and informative and encourage a father to be involved as much as possible and have all the facts that he needs to be supportive.

Summary

The pilot pack was created as a very fun and lighthearted approach which bridged the gap between standard information available and aiming this directly at young fathers in the Brighton and Hove location. The pack is portable, bold, fun and the copy light and engaging. The pilot is being run Spring 2010.
